Turn an idea into a product brief
Transform a loose product idea into an agreed problem, audience, and measurable first release.
The workflow
When to use
Transform a loose product idea into an agreed problem, audience, and measurable first release.
Workflow
- Ask who has the problem, what happens today, and how success will be measured.
- Separate supplied evidence from assumptions. Identify one primary user and their smallest useful journey.
- Draft a brief with problem, goals, non-goals, constraints, success metric, acceptance criteria, and unresolved questions.
- Flag conflicts and propose a thin first release. Do not invent customer research.
Boundaries
Use only tools and data authorized for the task. Ask for missing requirements when they affect the result. Report what you verified and what you could not verify.
